$12.00, WHICH MAKES IT THE ONE TO TRY
If you have never used a rolling tray and are not sure you want one, start here. It does the same job as the wooden trays for a fraction of the price. If it turns out not to suit you, you have not spent much finding out.
PLANT-BASED, AND IT REALLY DOES BREAK DOWN
Almost entirely plant material. Put it in a compost facility, or bury it in soil with water and sunlight, and it degrades fully within eight months. Not a recycling claim with conditions attached. Not a plastic tray with a green label on the box.
STORE IT SEALED UNTIL YOU USE IT
This is the trade-off, and it is worth knowing before you buy. Because it is genuinely biodegradable, it starts breaking down once air reaches it. Keep it in its original packaging, or in an ONGROK wallet or bag, until you are ready to start using it.
A NON-SLIP BASE
The underside grips, so the tray does not travel across a table or slide off a knee. On a tray this light, that matters more than it does on a heavy wooden one.
FOOD-SAFE SURFACE, LAP SIZED
The working surface is food safe, and the tray sits on a lap while still fitting in a drawer. Same footprint logic as the bamboo tray, at a third of the price.
KEEP IT AWAY FROM HEAT
Plant material and open flame do not mix. Keep it away from heat, sparks, flames and hot surfaces. Worth stating plainly rather than burying in small print.
