Frosted glass keeps most light out.
Aluminum keeps all of it out, and it does not break. This aluminum jar seals on a rubber O-ring under a knurled screw cap and holds 180ml, up to 14 grams. $22.00, seven colors.
Metal passes no light at all. For anything sitting for months that takes one variable out of the equation completely, which is the case for choosing metal over glass when you do not need to see what is inside. Why light matters is covered in Does Flower Go Bad?.
The cap is knurled in a diamond pattern so it turns with dry hands or cold ones. It threads down onto a rubber O-ring, so it seals under compression rather than just sitting closed.
Both ends come apart, which is unusual on a jar and is what makes this one properly cleanable. You can reach the whole interior instead of working through a single opening. Soak it in the ONGROK All-in-One cleaner pouch and rinse both ends through.
The same capacity as the 180ml glass jar. The trade is straightforward: you give up seeing the contents, and you gain a jar that will not break on a hard floor.
A plain anodized cylinder that won't look out of place in a home or professional office environment. Plenty of these end up holding coffee, tea, spices and baked goods.
Pink, Gold, Silver, Black, Green, Blue and Orange. Premium quality, without the premium price tag.
The 180ml Child Resistant Glass Jar 3 Pack is the same capacity in frosted borosilicate with a child-resistant lid. Compare materials in stash jars.
