Stash Jars That Don't Announce Themselves

A stash jar gets judged on two things: whether it holds a seal, and whether it draws attention. Most fail the second one. Novelty jars, loud branding, anything with a leaf on it all tell anyone who walks past exactly what they are looking at. ONGROK's are deliberately plain: anodized aluminum and frosted gray borosilicate glass, with nothing on them that says what is inside, in sizes from an 80ml six pack up to a 1200ml vacuum jar.

Where a jar sits matters more than how much it holds. Something on an open shelf has a different job from something in a bag.

What Actually Makes a Stash Jar Discreet

What Actually Makes a Stash Jar Discreet

Three things, and most jars only manage one.

The seal. Odor escapes through the lid, not the walls. Every stash jar here closes on a compressed seal: a gasket under a child resistant cap, a rubber O-ring under the aluminum jar's screw cap, or a vacuum pump lid. A lid that only clicks shut is not sealing anything.

The finish. Plain, matte and understated. The only mark on an ONGROK jar is a small logo, and nothing on it identifies the contents. The Aluminum Metal Storage Jar is a plain anodized cylinder that won't look out of place in a home or professional office environment.

What can be seen. The aluminum jar is completely opaque. The glass jars are frosted gray rather than clear, so the contents read as a shape rather than a thing. If total invisibility matters, choose metal.

Child Resistant Is About the House, Not the Herb

Worth separating out, because people assume it is a legal formality. A push-and-turn lid is a real safety mechanism for a household with small children, and in some jurisdictions it is required for certain products.

It costs you nothing in performance. The catch and the seal are separate parts: the gasket under the cap still does the sealing, and the push-and-turn catch keeps small hands out. The child resistant jars come in 80ml, 180ml, 500ml and 1000ml.

Keeping It Fresh, Not Just Hidden

Keeping It Fresh, Not Just Hidden

A sealed jar solves odor. Staying fresh takes three more things.

Size. Keep the jar matched to what you actually store. A large jar holding a small amount is mostly air, and air is what dries things out over time. Two 500ml jars let you keep a working jar and a reserve, so only one gets opened every day.

Humidity. A seal stops moisture leaving but does not put any back. A 2-way humidity pack or a humidifying stone inside the jar holds the level steady. Those are in humidity control. If something has already dried out, here is how to rehydrate dry flower.

Air. For anything sitting for weeks rather than days, the Vacuum Pump Jar 2.0 pumps the air out after closing. Press the "g" on the lid to pump, press the orange button to release.

FAQ

A stash jar is an airtight container for keeping dry herb contained, fresh and private. What separates it from an ordinary jar is the seal, a compressed gasket rather than a lid that rests in place, and usually a plain finish that does not advertise what is inside.

It depends where it lives. For an open shelf, the opaque Aluminum Metal Storage Jar gives away nothing. For a household with kids, the child resistant jars in 80ml, 180ml, 500ml or 1000ml. For something being stored for weeks, the Vacuum Pump Jar 2.0. There is no single best answer, only the right one for where it sits.

The good ones are. Airtight means a gasket or O-ring that compresses against the rim as you close the lid, so no air moves in or out. Everything in this collection does that, with a child resistant gasketed lid, an O-ring screw cap or a vacuum pump lid. Plenty of jars sold for the job do not.

Yes, if it seals properly. Odor travels in air, so a jar that stops air stops smell. What no consumer jar can honestly claim is beating a trained detection dog, and anyone promising that is overselling. Containing everyday odor in a room, a drawer or a bag is the realistic standard, and it is the one these are built to.

Match it to what you keep, not what you might. 80ml holds up to 6.2 grams, 180ml up to 14, 500ml up to 45 and 1000ml around 70. 180ml suits most people. A half-empty jar is mostly air and dries its contents out faster.

Somewhere cool, dark and stable. Heat and light both degrade dry herb, so a cupboard or drawer beats a windowsill. The opaque aluminum jar is the most forgiving if it has to sit out in the light.

On the Aluminum Metal Storage Jar, both the cap and the bottom unscrew, so you can reach the whole interior. Soak it in the All-in-One Cleaner and rinse both ends through. The glass dropper bottles are dishwasher safe.

These are airtight jars for dry herb, spices, tea and anything else worth keeping sealed. We're aware that some people might use them as weed jars or cannabis jars. That's not why we sell them, though. ONGROK products are not meant to be used for any illegal purpose. Check your local laws before you buy.
