Product description
This is the butter maker. Load decarbed material and a fat, pick a cycle between one and eight hours, and it grinds, heats and holds temperature until the infusion is done. 800 watt heater, one to five cups a batch, $179.99. The filter bags and recipe book are in the box.
ONE TO FIVE CUPS A BATCH
250ml to 1180ml, or 125g to 625g, or 8 to 40 fluid ounces, whichever number you think in. Picture the small end as two sticks of store-bought butter. Picture the big end as a month of cooking.
ONE TO EIGHT HOUR CYCLES
Length depends on what you are making. Oil can be done in an hour. Butter and tinctures take longer. Set the cycle and leave it, because the machine holds laboratory-standard temperature throughout rather than drifting the way a stovetop does.
800 WATT HEATER, 160 WATT MOTOR
The motor runs 16,000 to 19,000 RPM on an industrial-grade stainless steel blade, so material breaks down properly before and during infusion instead of steeping in lumps. 120 volt, 60 Hz, for US and Canadian outlets.
IT PROTECTS ITSELF WHILE YOU ARE NOT WATCHING
Boil-dry protection. An overspill sensor. Overheating protection with automatic shut off. A self-cleaning function. On an appliance that runs unattended for up to eight hours those are not features, they are the reason it is safe to walk away.
TWO FILTER BAGS, TWO GLOVES, A RECIPE BOOK
Two nylon filter bags, 190 micron and 73 micron, so you can strain coarse or fine depending on what you are making. Two silicone gloves, because the vessel is hot when the cycle ends. A recipe book, so the first batch is not guesswork.
NOT ONLY FOR HERB
It is a temperature-controlled infuser, so it works on rosemary, lavender and anything else you would steep into a fat or an alcohol. Essential oils, balms, botanical lotions, honey and tinctures all run on the same machine.
ETL CERTIFIED, $179.99
Third-party lab tested to North American safety standards. Premium quality, without the premium price tag.
SMALLER BATCHES, OR THE STEP BEFORE?
The Small Botanical Infuser runs three quarters of a cup to two and a half cups at $89.99, which suits most households better than five cups does. Before either of them, the Decarboxylator Machine activates the material at a precise 250F. After them, the Scored Gummy Molds portion what you made. All in infusion.
MANUAL, HOW-TO GUIDE AND RECIPE BOOK
All three are downloadable before you buy, which is worth doing on an appliance this size. The Owner's Manual covers operation and cleaning, the Infuser How-to Guide answers the questions people ask most often, and the Infused Cookbook is where to start once it arrives.
